Mindful Self-Compassion is a type of applied mindfulness that has been shown to positively impact emotional well-being, reduce psychological symptoms such as stress, anxiety, and depression, and increase self-acceptance, according to research. Unlike group therapy or counseling, Mindful Self-Compassion is a resource-building program that equips participants with self-compassion skills through experiential exercises, meditations, and practices.
During a 6 or 8-week Mindful Self-Compassion course, participants learn how to cultivate self-compassion skills that they can apply to their daily lives. Through experiential exercises, meditations, and practices, participants can learn to approach life’s challenges with kind curiosity and a loving connected presence, leading to a greater sense of empowerment.
